Preventing Torture

through investigation and documentation

This is the site of the Prevention through Documentation project, led by the International Rehabilitation Council for Torture Victims (IRCT) in partnership with the Human Rights Foundation of Turkey, REDRESS, Physicians for Human Rights and the World Medical Association.

Our wish is to promote awareness and encourage the use of the Istanbul Protocol, which is an invaluable tool for health and legal professionals in establishing evidence of torture.
